CEO of the Roskilde Festival Group With over 20 years of leadership experience in the European culture, music, and festival industry at both director and board levels, Signe Lopdrup is one of the industry's most seasoned professionals. Since 2016, she has been the CEO of the charitable organization The Roskilde Festival Group, which organizes the annual Roskilde Festival – one of Northern Europe's key cultural events for progressive music, art, and youth culture. The Roskilde Festival Group's ambition is to move and inspire people, whether this concerns producing the annual Roskilde Festival or helping other promoters and organizations in the fields of event safety, gastronomy, experience design, project management, and logistics. Signe Lopdrup possesses extensive knowledge of and a deep passion for music, culture, and various festival formats. Her key areas of focus include volunteering and fostering communities that inspire and mobilize people, combined with a firm conviction that art and culture can and should set the agenda and perspective on the world. This is particularly evident during the week-long Roskilde Festival, where Signe Lopdrup has been a key figure in sharpening the festival as a non-profit and progressive festival, which is supported by a strong sense of community among its 100,000 guests and 30,000 volunteers throughout the year. During Signe Lopdrup's tenure at the helm of the Roskilde Festival, the activist role of art has gained an increasingly strong position and now interacts even more closely with the music line-up. Thus, music, art, and communities among people should challenge and push the participants' ability to imagine, believe, and hope for a better future.
