Seit der Pandemie ist einiges passiert, darunter auch eine Menge Gutes. Das Netzwerk von YOUROPE, der European Festival Association, hat in dieser Zeit mithilfe Europäischer Förderung, Expert:innen und Festivals aus ganz Europa eine ganze Reihe hochwertiger Tools, Roadmaps und Reports erarbeitet, die allen frei zur Verfügung stehen. Heute gibt das YOUROPE-Team einen Einblick u.a. in Toolsets für mehr Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, für Social Innovation und für die Unterstützung der Ukraine, in die European Green Festival Roadmap 2030 sowie das Self-Assessment und den E-Learning-Kurs von Future Festival Tools. Alles angereichert mit inspirierenden Best Practice-Beispielen führender Festivals aus ganz Europa. Heute auf dem Silbertablett für Euch: richtig gutes Zeug!
A lot has happened since the pandemic, including a lot of good things. During this time, the network of YOUROPE, the European Festival Association, has developed a whole range of high-quality tools, roadmaps and reports with the help of European funding, experts and festivals from all over Europe, which are freely available to everyone. Today, the YOUROPE team gives an insight into toolsets for more diversity, equity & inclusion, for social innovation and for supporting Ukraine, the European Green Festival Roadmap 2030 as well as the Future Festival Tools self-assessment and e-learning course. All enriched with inspiring best practice examples from leading festivals across Europe. Today on a silver platter for you: really good stuff! -

Katharina Weber is lead project manager at Bonn Promotion Department (BN*PD) and is as such also heavily involved in YOUROPE – The European Festival Association. In all of the various projects the association is a part of, Katharina works on creating tools and guidelines that help festivals become fit for the future. Her most recent key topics are event sustainability and diverse festivals. Before joining the music industry, she had worked as a journalist at newspapers and radio stations in Germany for seven years. She received degrees in English Studies and Applied Linguistics from the University of Bonn, Germany.

Marta Pallarès is a music journalist from Barcelona with a masters degree in cultural journalism, who has developed a career beyond media to dive into music business. Back home after some years in Mexico City, and following two editions coordinating the Primavera Sound festival livestream with Red Bull TV, Pallarès got in charge of the international comms for the event. In 2023 she became its Head of Press, a position where she continues handling the relationship with media partners, while building strategies with national and foreign press and leading Primavera's press team. Pallarès is the company’s official spokesperson for initiatives such as the event's pioneering commitment to gender balanced lineups, its innovative protocol against sexual harassment and the corporate social responsibility actions, specially the ones involving sustainability and environmental projects. She shares them through panels and keynote speeches at the main conferences in the music business (Eurosonic Norderslaag, Reeperbahn Festival, ILMC, European Festival Conference, Talkfest Lisbon, MaMA Paris amongst others), or hearings for official bodies and European agencies (UK Parliament, Parlament de Catalunya). She is also one of members of the board of YOUROPE, the European Festival Association that represents 122 festivals and associated members from 30 European countries. Pallarès won the Excellence Award (personality) in the Iberian Festivals Awards 2024, a prize which is awarded by a jury of Spanish and Portuguese festival professionals.

Holger is one of Europe’s leading networkers in the music festival branch. He is General Secretary of YOUROPE, the most important association for European popular music festivals, and leads the pan-European think tank GO Group (Green Operations Europe) as well as the TAKE A STAND initiative for social cohesion. Holger looks back at more than two decades at Germany’s biggest admission-free festival, RhEINKULTUR in Bonn, being in a leading position until the festival’s last edition in 2011. Today, Holger is a booker, consultant and part of the management team of DAS FEST in Karlsruhe.
