Frequenzen sichern, Kultur schützen
Secure frequencies, protect culture -
Ob Konzert, Theater oder Festival – drahtlose Mikrofone und In-Ear-Systeme sind unverzichtbar für die Veranstaltungs- und Kulturbranche. Doch der überlebenswichtige Frequenzbereich 470–694 MHz ist erneut bedroht: Mobilfunkanbieter drängen auf die Freigabe. Während der Koalitionsvertrag 2025 Investitionen in Kulturtechnologien und Digitalisierung verspricht, bleibt der Schutz der „Kulturfrequenzen“ bislang offen. Dieses Panel fragt: Wie passt Frequenzentzug zur angekündigten Stärkung der Kultur? Wer kämpft für die Frequenzsouveränität – und wie kann die Branche ihre technischen Grundlagen politisch sichern? Antworten geben Jochen Zenthöfer (SOS / APWPT), Silke Lalvani (VPLT – Verband für Medien- und Veranstaltungstechnik e. V.) und Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mª Dolores Pérez Guirao (Ostfalia Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften). Moderiert wird das Gespräch von Matthias Fehr (IKHF – Ideen und Konzepte in Hochfrequenz).
Whether at concerts, theaters or festivals - wireless microphones and in-ear systems are indispensable for the event and cultural sector. But the vital 470-694 MHz frequency range is once again under threat: mobile phone providers are pushing for its release. While the 2025 coalition agreement promises investment in cultural technologies and digitalization, the protection of “cultural frequencies” remains unresolved. This panel asks: How does the withdrawal of frequencies fit in with the announced strengthening of culture? Who is fighting for frequency sovereignty - and how can the industry secure its technical foundations politically? Answers will be provided by Jochen Zenthöfer (SOS / APWPT), Silke Lalvani (VPLT - Verband für Medien- und Veranstaltungstechnik e. V.) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mª Dolores Pérez Guirao (Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences). The discussion will be moderated by Matthias Fehr (IKHF - Ideas and Concepts in High Frequency).
